These pages will contain reflections, texts and links concerning ethnography, especially visual etnography, multimedia ethnography, and school ethnography.

I have written about using multimediality in school ethnography in my doctoral thesis, which was published as a CD-ROM, as well as in an article titled Monimediaisuuden äärellä (facing multimediality). Unfortunately both these texts are presently only available in Finnish. However, there is an earlier paper I wrote in English and presented in the 2006 INSEA conference in Viseu, Portugal, titled Doing ‘multimedia ethnography’ about gender construction in the context of school art education.

Olen kirjoittanut monimediaisuudesta kouluetnografiassa väitöskirjassani Tytöt, pojat ja ‘erojen leikki’ (2004) sekä artikkelissani Monimediaisuuden äärellä teoksessa Lappalainen, Sirpa, Hynninen, Pirkko, Kankkunen, Tarja, Lahelma, Elina & Tolonen, Tarja (toim.) (2007) Etnografia metodologiana. Lähtökohtana koulutuksen tutkimus. Vastapaino, Tampere. Artikkelini Etnografiaa tekemällä oppimassa julkaistiin Synnyt -lehdessä joulukuussa 2013.
